Mentoring
The IPPA Mentoring Program developed by the IPPA Committee and IPPA Mentoring Sub-committee provides a wonderful opportunity for Past Pupils to re-engage and give back to fellow Ionians. The key objectives of the program are to:
- Provide a unique opportunity for Past Pupils of Iona to expand their networks and build direct connections with other generations of alumni
- Allow early and mid-career Ionians to tap into the skills and knowledge of more experienced Ionians
- Build professional connections knowledge and insights
- Provide a rewarding experience that enables experienced Ionians the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on those who are early in their career and life path
PROGRAM
As a voluntary program, the IPPA Mentoring Program will be complimentary for all mentors and mentees. The number of mentor/mentee pairings will be limited, so if you are interested in being involved, please do not delay in registering.
The program will be comprised of three main events.

6-MONTH PROGRAM
Pairs will be expected to meet at least four times over a six-month period.
CLOSING EVENT
At the end of six months, there will be a relaxed sundowner, where participants will be asked for feedback on their experiences

The mentoring relationship can explore (but is not limited to) the following:
- Career advice
- Seeking professional opportunities and 'foot-in-the-door' techniques
- Inspiration from someone who has done what you aspire to do
- Life support and life issues
- Juggling careers and families
- Tips and strategies for daily life
